We Are Earthlings

Friend, we were not created to live in Heaven.
We were created to populate the earth with human beings.
Paul the Apostle of Jesus describes our "being" when he wrote to the Thessalonians.
Thessalonnians 5:23 May your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
From Paul's Words, we can understand that we are a soul with a spirit in a body of flesh.
Both soul and spirit are supernatural; unable to be seen by earthly eyes, but Paul affirms they exist.
We can understand also that all (body, soul and spirit) are important to God; because Paul mentions them all as must "be kept blameless," right up until we either die or to when Jesus returns, if we are living at that time.
The body will always belong to the earth. The soul and spirit transcend the earth. They are not bound to the earth realm. They are supernatural.
Paul himself and John, of Revelation, each had encounters with Jesus which involved their souls and spirits while their bodies were still on earth.
They understood that when they died their body would stay on earth, lifeless, in the grave, and their soul and spirit would be clothed with a new body. An eternal body, transformed and glorified by God, which when Christ returns, would live with Him in Jerusalem on the New Earth.
Our soul and spirit respond to God. They do intimately know Who He Is. They are the means by which we connect with Him.
Psalm 42:2 My soul thirsts for the Living God.
Our spirit is attuned to God and recognises the promptings of The Holy Spirit of God. It is the spirit within our body and soul that reacts to Godly things, like prayer and contemplative meditation of The Word of God.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. (God's children.)
We are God's little earth children. He created our forefather and mother from whom we are descended; He breathed a soul into Adam and Eve and placed a part of His Spirit within them and us; because we are His sons and daughters of Earth. The spirit in us is our lifeblood to God. It's our connection by His Spirit.
The blood keeps us alive in the flesh but the spirit is in the soul which lives after death.
Everything we need to know about our Heavenly Father is written in His Word, The Holy Bible.
The stories of our ancestors lives, their interactions with Him in various ways and forms, the warnings, the commands, the prophesying, His character, His Power and for the dedicated to Him, the Bible is like a Living Word which reveals many layers of meaning that when we read verses we find they answer questions for us, they give us Holy Knowledge at levels we'd never thought about. They speak to us. They are capable of changing our mind, of turning us away from danger, of guiding us into understanding of our existence and the universe around us.
They equip us to a better life, they guide us back to our Father, they tell us of our predicament with evil, they show us God will forgive and mend our broken hearts.
The soul and spirt are not seperate entities. They work together in the flesh to guide us into relationship with our Creator and His Son.
They are deeply connected and make up our inner being like the heart and mind does in the flesh for those are the seats of their home in our body.
Our life on earth consists of intellectual, spiritual, and emotional. Mind, body and soul beautifully integrated making a human of God's Design.
We experience deep connection with God through the Saving Grace of His Son's Sacrificial death on The Cross where He fulfilled The Plan of God to introduce a New Covenant written in Holy Blood, added to The Law for mankind who had fallen into worshipping many gods, sacrificing animals, and every other wicked thing.
They had forgotten and in many cases wilfully rejected their First Love; God their Creator.
What does God desire from mankind?
Matthew 16:26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
Jesus spoke those words and Matthew recorded them.
It shows us that our soul is the most important thing to God. We only have it for the length of our lifetime on earth; and it is the soul that is judged by God.
This verse also tells us that when we go after the things of the world to please the flesh, we are forfeiting our soul to Satan, and it reveals that we have nothing to give to Satan to get our soul back. He already has the most important thing, the most valuable thing we have.
We must cherish it, nurture it and keep it from all evil. Our spirit must be aligned with God and His Purposes to be able to reject the evil spirits that roam about seeking to steal, destroy and kill it.
