A Year Of Praise

Friend, many of us make resolutions for the new year.

How many of us keep them the whole year through?

It is wise to know thyself and to try thyself.

In this new year, already three days in, let's make a commitment to ourselves that we will praise God every time it crosses our minds, every time we are downtrodden, everytime we face a trial, everytime we are happy and even when things are going well for us, in this year of 2018.

Actually, that just about makes it every day! 

Praise brings us into the presence of God.

And the Bible says that God inhabits the praise of His people.

Isn't that a lovely thing.

When we praise Him He is there, meeting us and enjoying what we have to say.

He draws us close.

Closer to the Throne of God.

The Holy Bible says that God inhabits the praises of His people.

He meets us there and brings us to the Throne.

Isn't that where we want to be?

Standing/kneeling/prostrate in the Presence of God; where all Goodness and Blessings flow outwards to those who love Him?

Shouldn't we participate in the advantages of knowing Him?

It's not all head down in shame; but as we learn about Him, we should partake in the Goodness of God, through praise and worship.

Psalm 68:19

Blessed be the Lord, The God of our Salvation, Who daily loads us with benefits.

Psalm 103:2

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.

Thanking God and singing His praises leaves us feeling grounded, and calm, with an inner joy.

This is the result, a benefit, of God being with us in those moments.

We are aware that He loves us.

He listens to us and He cares for us, like no other.

Give to God His full recognition.

Admit to Him what you know about Him.

Do you know Him to be Good or Powerful?

Tell Him.

"Oh Lord, You are Good and Powerful, there is no other like You!"

"Lord, I was unworthy to receive Your Love, but Your Holy Blood has cleansed me. You paid the price for my Freedom, and I thank You, Jesus!"

"Father God, thank You for including me in the inheritance of Christ."

"Blessed be the name of The Lord Jesus!"

You will find your own words to say to Him in time; just allow your mind to go straight to Him in every circumstance.

Commune with Him while driving. You will feel wonderful when you get to your destination!

And 2018 will be remembered as the year of praise; the beginning of truly receiving the Benefits of God.
