Believers Have A Helper

Friend, as a believer in Christ Jesus, I have a wonderful Hope as my Guide.

He loves me with a Holy Love.

Holy equals, Perfectly Whole, and Pure in every way. It means a Love that embodies Holy Law.

Godly things are difficult to explain because it is an unseen Holy Law Force, that cannot be seen by our naked eye.

Yet our inner eye, of the heart and mind, is able to discern; when it is not fully taken over by the evil one, who hardens our heart and mind to the things of Holy God to keep us from that Holy Force.

God gave us Free Will, and it is ultimately our choice to turn from Him; even though it is satan and his demonic army who terrorise us into submission to evil ways, ideas, actions, and thoughts.

Since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden by not honoring God, our hearts have become like rock, through partaking in things that God who designed us to have fellowship with, is not able to partake with us, so we move away from Him spiritually, and satan is just fine with that.

And satan rewards those hardened hearts with the goods of this world to keep them happy.

We hear, "You sold your soul to the devil!"

This is actually a true statement. People laugh at it when said aloud to someone, as if it is impossible to do so; but funny to laugh at, as a metaphor for bad choices; bad behaviour, evil intentions.

Since becoming a believer my spiritual eyes have been opened by reading God's Word. I find in the Holy Inspired Words of Scripture, God's Voice that convinces me; I hear the Loving rebuke, and the gentle conviction of mind and heart for the wrongdoing in my life, my thoughts and actions.

It is a comfort to me, for I also know from those same Words, that he Loves me and is cleansing and refining me for His Purposes; because I have chosen His Son as my Saviour.

Jesus sent The Helper to earth when He returned to The Father in Heaven after the crucifixion.

The Helper was mentioned in John 16:7 when Jesus spoke: Nevertheless I tell you the Truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.

The disciples did not understand why Jesus was talking about leaving them in death; He was still young and they felt helpless without Him. He was their Friend, Helper, Teacher, Guide, Provider and they knew He was the Father's Son.

But God always had a Plan. And Jesus knew what His Destiny was and the days were growing shorter. He could read the hearts of the Jewish religious rulers and knew how infected with evil they were.

He knew His Ministry on earth was almost up and that He had a day and time set with The Cross.

He knew the Disciples would receive The Holy Spirit and understand many things He had taught them.

And so 40 days after His Resurrection, The Holy Spirit descended upon the Disciples and many others who believed in those days.

And so, today, we have The Holy Spirit as our Comforter and Counsellor too. He will teach and guide anyone who has a heart to know The Son.

He draws all to Jesus. That is His Mission.

When we do not receive Him and His Mission we are denying God and that is the biggest sin of all that cannot be Forgiven.

It will be dealt with. There is a Law in place for unbelievers just as there are Laws for believers.

Draw near to The Spirit. Listen to His promptings telling you "Not that road," "Not a good idea," Choose faith in God," "He is Trustworthy," Jesus loves you."

The Bible is sprinkled with His Words. They leap up off the page into your heart and mind.

We know they do. That is why when we're in unbelief, we won't open it. We reject anything to do with God because we like our own self will, and in many cases, we're afraid.
