God As Friend

Friend, many of us are afraid of God. We are correct to be afraid of Him if we are walking away from Him, deliberately forging our own path, filled with pride for self, loving our mind and body more than Him.

The spirit in such a one, who denies God a home within, is in rebellion, like an unruly teenager.

God created us to be his friends and companions. 

He wants to experience our life in and through us.

We are created in such a way, that we inwardly know/understand He wants to be with us. Yet we despitefully go our own way the minute we have the chance.

We look out upon the world and entertain all the many wondrous things that people are entangled in, and a small spark is ignited within, that we feed eventually, until it consumes us.

Sin is like that, and sin destroys our spirit, kills our body to steal our wicked soul, for itself.

God had other plans for us. 

But He willingly gave us free will to make those choices.

Friend, you must know by now that our choices produce consequences.

For sinful choices, it always requires more of us; more sin, deeper sin, abhorrent sin; yet we do it for what we rationalise is good for us. Maybe it's money, maybe it's pleasure, maybe it's an occupation, maybe it's just plain selfishness to have, greed.

But those who choose to deny the worldly things, and cling to Him, will have great reward in Heaven.

This life is but for a short time compared to Eternity.

Choose wisely.

Revelation 3:2

Behold! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My Voice and opens the door, I Will come in and eat with him and he with Me. 

James 2:2

Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as Righteousness. And he was called God's friend.

John 15:15

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his Master's business. Instead I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from My Father, I have made known to you.

The sins we indulge in keep Him at a distance. We cannot share those things with Him. We know it.

Every day takes us further and further from Him.

But, TODAY, is a New Day given to us by Him

Many did not receive it. They are gone.

He says His Mercies are new every morning.

He brought you through the night and is working by His Holy Spirit with you today; right now.

He has not given up on you.

All your sins can be forgiven by Him right now.

Are you ready?

Will you look to Him forevermore as Father, Saviour, King and Friend?

Tell Him how you feel about the whole of your life, the things you have done and said, the turmoil you have created, the hurt you have poured out on others in the exact same boat as yourself, the pain you have endured, the bad things you have throught and said about Him.

Just admit it all to Him.

He will forgive a repentant soul, and Justify you in Himself; Jesus Who is God, Who went to the Cross with your soul's name on His lips; saying, " IT IS FINISHED."

The Law of The Father was fulfilled with those Holy Words. 

That Command was a knockout punch to satan who deals in breaking God's Law.

We who are saved, born again by His Holy Spirit are no longer under The Law. 

Jesus fulfilled a NEW COVENANT between God and mankind.

Satan cannot condemn us who are saved, of breaking God's Law.

Jesus paid the Price that was ours to pay, but we could not, being sinners.

Today is your day.

Take advantage of it. Tomorrow you don't know if it is yours to have.
