The Potter
Friend, who made humans?
The Great Potter!
From our level of understanding which He has given us, we can learn a lot about God if we acknowledge He is the Potter, and we are the clay.
We are still in a moldable state.
He is still able to break us down and reshape us.
We haven't been placed into the firey furnace yet.
This is our state before God. When He looks upon us, He sees a form that has wilfully fallen (our soul has free will) off the Potter's Wheel, rolled to the floor and is bumping along the rocky road to hell.
We have scars, dents and holes all over us from the fall and the route we have chosen. We are disgustingly misshapen, almost unrecognisable.
He can easily pick us up, and reshape us into a beautiful piece of pottery, but because He gave us the amazing Gift of Free Will, He must wait until we ask Him, call to Him, repent of our chosen way and desire His Way.
This shows Him that we have had a change of heart; from living in sin, turning our back to Him, resisting His Holy Spirit.
Dear friend, we make many choices in our lives that draw us away from Him; that heap burdens on our backs, that cause us to snarl at Him like rabid dogs.
How much must His Heart for us, be broken?
He is Pure. He is Holy, He is Law.
By Him all things were made and are held in place.
His Law is woven in and around all matter.
We the humans He created have been given Free Will. We threw it back in His Face and we trample all over this Marvellous Gift. We abuse our Rights. We attribute all our sorrows to Him when in fact it is us who have caused every one of them.
Ah, The Potter dearly wants for the clay to be back in His Loving Hands, feeling His Strength and receiving His Beautiful Design for it.
Will you allow Him to have you today?
