Jesus Is Our Confidence

Friend, many of us walk in confidence through our days on the earth, and the world is proud of us. 

They celebrate the ones who walk in confidence, some haughty, some with feigned humblness, some, confident joksters; there are many types of confidence in the world governed by the great confidence trickster himself, Satan, Lucifer, the chief liar and cheat.

But, have you considered the Confidence of Jesus that He gives to those who call Him their Saviour King?

In Proverbs, King Solomon tells his son, chapter 3 verse 26, For The Lord will be your Confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.  

How beautiful is that satement; that Holy Proverb.

It is Truth for all who will apply it.

The Lord Jesus Christ is able to stop our foot from being caught in any snare at any time at any place! 

All that is required is to believe! 

To have faith in Him; for Who He Is, and what He has done for us. 

He was our Sacrifice. The Holy Payment for the sins of mankind.

Why did He do it?

We are wicked through and through.

From The Heavenlies God is able to see everything.

Nothing escapes Him. If He asks a question; He already knows the answer. Your answer shows you how sinful you are. He already knows the depths of depravity you have fallen into (deceived and deluded); or willingly went along with. 

When we consider that statement we will know which one we are! 

Take a moment to think back to some turning point in your life. That time when you tried that; that time when you decided to do or allow, that; were we deceived by someone or something or did we choose by our own self will?

God knows which it is and His Truth is the Truth that stands at The Judgement; not ours.

God has a Plan for satan, and He has a Plan for mankind.

Satan snookered innocent Eve. We are not told how long it took him to do it. The Bible reads as if it was a short time - almost like the first time he lied to Eve, she believed, but it could also be interpreted that after a while, she caved after listening to him say this and that about God; none of which was true.

What we believe about that is insignificant; we know she chose by her own self will, to do what God had commanded her not to do. That is the crux of that passage in the Bible. Eve excercising self will, stepping out from the Commands of God on how to live a happy life with Him.

She thought only for herself not for what the consquences might be, not for what might happen to her chidren or their children, for she was the first woman. From what she knew of the animals, she would have known that a being like herself would come forth from her body and on and on life would be born.

God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. Eve knew what that meant. A child would come forth from her body.

25And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Friend, God spoke to them. Many were the things spoken about. They were created for God to communicate with. They could ask questions and posture thoughts and God guided them.

1John 5:14 This is the Confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His Will, He hears us.

Read His Holy Word, His Plan for us, His Hope for us, His letters of Love to us. The Bible reveals His Character and the Attributes of His Nature; The Power He wields and controls so Perfectly, The Truth that's revealed to those who seek Him; and so much more.
