Life's Trials
Friend, are you troubled? Are you going through a trial?
We all are being tested in some way. Some of us do not recognize it and think only others are tested - they have accepted life is a battle and they push on through, under their own steam, so to them they do not see the need to stop and look at the situation they are in.
But, during trials we can see the condition of our soul if we are open to viewing it honestly.
We will see lack of Godly preparation. Are we standing with God? Have we been thankful? Do we praise Him for His Goodness?
We will see weakness - our inability to do the righteous thing, to take the good road. Excuses, weak excuses become our reasoning for our situation.
Trials are there to show us where we are and what we need to do so that we are not caught in the same spiral of testing.
Friend, we can ask God to help us. We have to tell Him we are willing to grow and learn. We must recognize that we do not know everything.
When our will is in harmony with the Will of God we have power to overcome any trial.
Job said after his great trials, "I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth Thee. Wherefore I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes." Job 42: 1, 5-6
Once Job recognized God he realized that he was nothing and he repented of his pride. It took Job a long time. He lost everything, but God was after Job and would not let go.
This was the turning point for Job when he spoke those words above. God restored him and everything he lost which was substantial, was twice as much as he had before.
God will restore anyone who comes to Him and is willing to allow Him to be the anchor to their soul, the compass that guides and the Spirit within. He will show you His Son, Jesus who is the Saviour Lord of heaven and earth.
