Meditation Verse

Scripture.  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  Seeing that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness?
2 Peter 3:10-11  KJV

The disciple Peter, a disciple/companion of Jesus, one who walked and talked intimately with our Lord tells us here that when the Lord comes for the second and last time, He will come silently, stealthily at an hour we least expect like a thief who comes at night when we are asleep.

As a believer, I want to be ready, alert and in right standing, having the assurance of my Salvation when He comes.

Peter speaks of what "manner of persons" we should be.

He gives us the answer, saying we should be in the image of God and have holy conversation and holy interaction in work and play with others.

Yes, the Blood of Jesus covers the one who has faith in Him!

Check your faith daily! Do not let it slip away, forgotten like a dirty rag.  Repent quickly and get back in the fold of believers.

Fight your demons and be an overcomer in Christ.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Salvation in You.  Help me to have holy conversation and to practise being a Godly friend to all.  Fill me with Your wisdom and love.  Amen.
