Open And Read The Word

Friend, are you feeling unloved, misunderstood, at odds with humanity; with the world?
The ways we are separated from God that lead to us feeling alone, depressed, sick, drifting away, unanchored, are numerous and all caused by a disconnect with the One who loves us; who died for us to not feel that way.
When we have those feelings, we are in a state of vulnerability; our soul is sad and lost; unable to find it's way.
In those times, we are actually very close to The Great God of all things.
He is able to be found in those times, so easily!
In Matthew 5:3 Jesus said to the multitude gathered "Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."
There were over 5,000 people present that day. Can you imagine that all were not poor in spirit?
No, they came out and gathered because they were poor in spirit, mourning, hungering after Righteousness for they were oppressed and poor.
They gathered to hear His Words, not knowing for sure that He was their Saviour.
They had heard whispers, and gossip coming in to their villages about this man Jesus, born of a carpenter in a nearby village from the line of King David.
Some came hoping Jesus could be their new earthly king. Also there were some, who were looking for one like a leader, intelligent, well versed in Torah, well spoken, who could be an advocate for them to the overrulers of Rome.
In verse 17 of Matthew chapter 5, Jesus tells them that He has not come to destroy the Law, but to fulfill it. (That is The Law of God given to Moses.)
The people were groaning under the laws that the rabbis had inflicted upon them to try to control the people into obeying God's Law.
They had laws for everything, that man had devised, to break God's Covenant.
Laws exactly like those we have today in our own governments.
Every year new laws added to the old, to keep us from breaking laws!
Every situation we find ourselves in has numerous laws not to mention our own cultural and familial laws we impose on each other.
This is because we are lawbreakers at heart.
We do not want to do the Righteous thing. We see others breaking laws, so we think it's nothing to disobey a law; only costs money or imprisonment which to some is a laugh.
But God is trying to show us in His Law, that we must be a peculiar people, set apart for Him, because sin does abound.
By His Law, (The Ten Commandments) He was establishing a Covenant with the Israelites, that He would save them from the sin nature that had come upon them when they entered this world.
All others were not subject to His Law, but they were born with a sin nature from Adam and Eve. They were subject to His Words to Adam and Eve. Be fruitful and multiply.
Friend, Jesus came to do exactly what He did, at the Father's behest, to fulfill the Law, that all sinners would be punished.
He took on the punishment meant for us. Meant for the sins we do on a daily basis, and for the people who by their own hand carry out sins against us.
He will Forgive by His Holy Sacrifice if we believe He is, Who He says He is.
Today we have something that God has designed supernaturally for us.
It is The Holy Bible.
He inhabits the Words in it. Do not believe that only men wrote these things; that is a lie perpetrated by evil and we eagerly run with it as it makes sense to us.
But God has made Himself available to us in His Word. This is the true reason that evil tries to keep you from reading it.
God is Supernatural. He is able to connect with us through His Word.
If you still do not believe the things written then that is definetly a human perogative to deny God. But don't expect when you die and your soul stands with all the billions of souls that have passed on to be able at that time when you see Him to say, "Yes, I get it now, I believe."
It will be too late, friend. This is why Christians speak of Him to others. We understand and do not want others to perish but have life; because we understand how evil has kept even ourselves from Him before we believed.
As we came into new understanding from reading His Word, and hearing Holy preaching, we were made aware of our situation and by our own choice, we repented and began to follow The Son of God who died for our sins on The Cross.
The Cross is the most famous symbol of what God did for those who love Him. He gave His Son because He did not want us all to go to Hell.
He figured out a Way for us for which evil cannot condemn God.
Through Jesus, non Jewish believers are grafted in, as in adopted yet having a Holy Father, to The Kingdom as heirs with Christ.
Because He first came to save the Jews but they rejected Him, (God knew they would) and you will read in the Scriptures that His Words included all others who would believe in Him because of The Cross.
You cannot have Jesus without the Cross and it's message of inclusiveness.
