Pursue Him

Friend, I hope you are pursuing God!

This is His desire for your soul.

First our soul is lost, feels abandoned, hurts and then begins to think about what it's life is all about.

Is there some meaning to life?

Why am I alive?

We look out at the world and have experiences of goodness and evil, see patterns in world events, that give cause to many questions.

The world tells us to believe in ourselves and we try that. Sometimes for decades.

The world offers us many schools of thoughts. And we try one or two of those. Sometimes for many decades.

Then one day, something happens and we stumble across Truth.

We wrestle with Truth.

It's too Perfect; and we, are not.

We realize we cannot join Truth. We're imperfect.

But the soul and spirit within have been awakened. They want more.

Sadly, the flesh will fight for it's right to be in charge as before.

Sometimes years go by in this state.

But when we come to another turning point of conscience, conviction, tragedy, the soul is open to hearing from God.

We may say, "God, if You exist, please show Yourself to me."

And, in a way you will understand, God does; because our heart and spirit is in a broken state that is ready to hear and receive Truth.

The inner person knows that this is God; has had an encounter with Truth and Love of great magnitude.

We are elated and believe with all our hearts and mind that God has answered us.

The personal relationship with Him has begun.

Now, He wants us to pursue Him.

He wants us to keep our eyes focused on Him, to learn about Him and to talk to Him.

He is Love and Goodness.

He is Jesus Who died so you might have a personal relationship with Him.

He will not ever tell you to kill someone. That is not His voice.

Ask for Forgiveness first.

Ask for Godly Wisdom, second.

Know that you are Loved.

Thank Him for the Mercy and Grace that is yours, new every morning.

And, pursue, pursue, pursue for the rest of your days, that blessed relationship with the One Who Loves, Jesus.
