Satan's Power

The Holy Scriptures given to us by God's Spirit and Word (Jesus,) tell us that God has an adversary to whom He has given the Title, Satan.
The name "Satan" is actually a title, not a name like our personal first name. He was named Lucifer but God said he would now, since his rebellious fall from wholeness, be given the title of Satan; where before his title was "Anointed Guardian Cherub."
Ezekiel 28:14 You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked.
Satan was created as a son of Dawn, a Day Star. He was luminous, a beautiful light.
Isaiah 14:12-15 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ But you (future) are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit."
When our focus falls away from God, we can fall into sin very quickly, just as this treasured beautiful being of light did, when he decided he was going to be better than God, his Creator. When his thoughts turned to overthrowing his Creator.
God has not thought it necessary to reveal everything about the workings of Heaven.
We are limited to earthly things. But, He does tell us about Himself in The Word He has given us. Everything other than that is revealed by His Spirit in the hearts of those who are justified, the born again believers in His Son, by the Spirit of God; those Christians who are being sanctified, set apart for God's Holy Purposes, by the Holy Work of The Holy Spirit. That is the sanctification process believers journey through after they willingly ask Jesus into their hearts; when they say "Yes Lord, I believe."
Yet, God encourages us to testify of our own encounters with Him; so that our fellow sojourners on earth may hear about His workings in their lives, so those souls hear about Who Jesus Is and have a desire to know Who God Is. We the believers tell them about God's Word; we point them to The Truth in The Bible.
Satan's power is nullified the second a soul says "Yes" to Jesus being it's Lord Saviour God.
Satan is put on notice that the soul of that person has been freely given to Him. However since all have free will, Satan doesn't care about the consequences of interfering with our free will. He begins to tempt us just as he did with Jesus in the desert wilderness.
God helps us when we are tempted but ultimately it is our decision to step out from under His Protection and dance with the devil again after being saved.
Our free will rights are not taken from us. None in God's House, are there by force. They want to be there because they love God, Father, Son and Spirit for Who God Is. All His qualities, character, ability are Lawful, Pure, Perfect, full of Truth and Love.
We should understand that Satan is a user. He wants our souls because God lovingly created mankind and doesn't want to lose any of us to evil.
Satan is using the souls of mankind to create his own evil world on earth. He loves manipulating us and his pleasure comes from watching and hearing our suffering.
Satan has great knowledge of God's Law. He delights to be unlawful and has a great many followers on earth. His main goal is to put supernatural chains of bondage on our mind, heart and flesh.
Satan has set himself up as "god of the earth," "ruler of the world." He rules from the supernatural realm of the air over and around the earth. It is his dominion for a "time" or an "age" as Jesus spoke it.
We can't see him with our eyes but, we see him in other people, those he is in the process of destroying their minds, those he is stealing their innocence from, and those he is wilfully killing, by overtaking their minds and driving them into depressive suicidal states. He is a mind controller.
Satan is behind every murder, rape, theft, and criminal activity. He would have infiltrated that mind and stealthily worked in it to bring about his desired result.
Be very careful shaking hands with Satan. His claws and chains are thorny and sharp, poisonous. They draw blood until we're lifeless. Drugs, alcohol, lusts of many kinds are his weapons of choice, and he infiltrates every aspect of life, placing his evil demonic spirits at every door to welcome us in. And in we go, believing Satan; rejecting God's advice to turn away and run to Him.
But with Christ as Shepherd, Saviour God; He warns us, He convicts us, and if we love Him and value what He accomplished at The Cross for us, we will stay in His Sheep's fold; safe and warm, well fed and happy.
Ephesians 6:11-12. Put on the full armor of God, so that you may take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Satan is not equal to God in power or any other way. Satan is not a creator; he is the created thing. Like any Artist/Creator, God has the RIGHT to destroy a work of His that He perceives in His Infinite Wisdom and Clarity, as flawed. But our God, is Lawful and He is The Righteous Judge. He has Lawfully condemned Satan. All Heaven knows Satan is living out his alloted time before final Punishment, and they're forever warning us to turn to Jesus.
God's Power is far above the small powers He gave to Satan.
God has also given powers to the born again souls. If we resist the devil, he will flee from us. That's a Promise spoken in God's Word. Active resistance is required.
Knowing the devil is a defeated foe is important. When Jesus rose from the dead, it surprised Satan; he was not privy to what God was doing. It was too late for Satan. He was checkmated after a long history of winning small battles for souls, but now The Blood accepted by any soul was a "covering" of sins that The Father accepted.
Satan cannot have us even though we are sinners when we are born again by The Spirit of God.
