The Joy of Christmas

12/10/2020 21:22

Friend, our Lord's birth really is the Joy of Christmas for believers.

When God sent His Son to be born of womankind, conceived by The Holy Spirit; He sent a God-man to earth.

Believers call His Name, Jesus, which was a name given by God, to deliver to the young virgin called Mary, by the Angel Gabriel.

Mary was filled with Joy at this news. She immediately believed and of course when she fell pregnant without knowing a human  man in the way to become pregnant, she fully believed she was carrying the Son of God as told to her by Angel Gabriel, who had appeared to her in person bringing glad news from the Throne of God.

We  know that Mary, Joseph and the children subsequently born to them after Jesus; must have experienced the Wonders of His Godliness as they were all great believers and followers of Him, as they grew up together, in the same household.

His Mother knew He could turn water into wine when she asked Him to do so at the wedding feast He was attending around His 30th year.

It is said His clothes were desired by the Roman guards when He was crucified because of the quality. They drew lots to see who would get them. No ordinary man, or beggar's clothes would have been gambled over.

No, those clothes because they touched His Body, were of excellent quality.

Also, it is likely that the carpentery that He did with His father, Joseph, was of good quality because his father, just a carpenter was well known when it was said, "Isn't He just the son of the carpenter, Joseph?"

I believe that whatever He touched, His Goodness emanated from Him onto it.

A woman indisposed with illness knew if she could just touch the corner of His Robe as He walked by, she would be healed. This she did and was instantly healed after having the sickness for many years with no man being able to help her.

So we find these "small" things in the Bible and when we put them together they speak to our heart and mind and fill us with a Joy that we know Someone Who is So Perfect and Holy that everything obeys Him.

When He was born He brought Joy to this world of darkness and pain.

He made a Way for God's Plan to overcome the evil of satan .

We know He went to the Cross so that God's Plan would be fulfilled.

The Law of God requires a Sacrifice for sin.

He came to be that Holy and Pure Sacrifice that no-one could say, " that won't work, He is not the Holy Sacrifice" to, if it had been an angel, or or a great human, who would step up to pay for the sins of the world.

No, there will be no doubt that Christ Jesus was more than enough.

All Heaven knows this and as He sits at the Right Hand of God and intercedes for us today, we can be Joyful at Christmas because He was born to set us Free from satan's world of evil.

And He did!
