The Kindness Of God
Friend, I have found that God loves mankind, as a whole, and as individuals.
He is Kind to us; yes a capital "K" is used, to denote Holy.
Everything He does is Holy, full of Perfection and Truth.
There is no evil in it.
Everything is meant for Good, His Good.
He sees all He has created.
He knows us intimately; more than we know Him.
Nothing misses His Attention; everything we do and say, both good and sinful.
We cannot hide from Him; even when we try, and no matter how hard we try!
He sees it all.
It's never going to be different.
We can't change God by having a tantrum to get our own way, by ignoring Him, by demanding He change, by changing the laws on earth.
This is because He is already Perfect in every way.
He doesn't need changing.
We do.
We are the sinners. We are running full speed ahead creating chaos. We have brought pain and sorrow into our own lives by our own choices.
But we can change.
It's called repentance; recognising we are in the wrong and admitting that He is Righteous.
He will Forgive; Justify and Sanctify those who repent.
In Jeremiah 31:3b God says to us " I have loved you with an Everlasting Love, I have drawn you with Loving-Kindness.
He cares for us. How we feel, what we're going through.
He has to allow those things we go through, because we, by our own free will, have chosen things of which we now walk through the consequences.
He tried to show us, to whisper to us that it was wrong, and would cause troubles for us, but we went ahead anyway.
Now we have caused these rippling effects of sinful behaviour choices, that roll through our lives and those around us, causing all manner of pain and anguish; now, with us, even into the coming generations, just as our forefathers choices have caused us some of the pain and sorrow we experience.
But God's Kindness should lead us to repentance when we experience those consequences!
What evil caused for pain and sorrow so we would blame God, He moves in believer's lives to cause gain of Holy character within us.
We can change the trajectory of our own lives, our spouses lives, and our childrens lives, just by recognising Jesus, and what He did for us at The Cross.
We can begin to pray for them, and teach, witness and speak of God's Kindness and Forgiveness.
Some of us are wilful, and continue to push and forge ahead, into the deep waters of trouble, even to the point of drowning.
But there is always that glimmer of Light that is shining; God being the Lighthouse of Love and Compassion, trying to help us into the calm waters; keep us off the rocks.
The Nurturing Light that shines forth bringing His Word to our hearts and mind; is there to give Wisdom and show us His Love.
Romans 2:4
The Goodness of God leads to repentance.
When we repent of our actions, our sinful choices, God is faithful to Forgive.
He just wants us on the Righteous Path where He can Love and Guide us.
Even Job who suffered indescribebly wrote these words...
Job 10:12
You gave me life and showed me Kindness, and in Your Providence, watched over my spirit.
Jeremiah 9:24
Let him who boasts, boast about this: That he understands that I AM The Lord, Who exercises Kindness, Justice and Righteousnes on earth, for in these, I delight.
God is Kind.
He gave us life, a body, spirit, and soul.
Do not neglect nourishing the soul and spirit. They have a great thirst.
Many people feed and water their body thinking that will bring the Peace they desire, but without feeding the soul and spirit everything it needs, Peace will never be attained.
