What Does God Expect Of Us

Friend, many people are worried about how they would measure up to the standards of God.

Mankind innately knows that God is Good, Pure, Holy, Just.

Many of us think He expects too much of us.

We're lazy and can't cut the grade as they say.

We also innately understand that He has a right to expect perfection from us.

This is why, so many of us are angry at Him; purposely hide and run from Him.

We know we don't and can't by our own volition, measure up to Perfection.

We'd rather tell ourselves that there is no God and in doing so, not have to measure up to anything.

It's true mankind cannot measure up to Him.

He is aware of this fact. It happened long ago in The Garden when man first disobeyed His One Command, that was meant to keep them pure, recipients of joy, peace, loveliness, industriousness, accomplishments, wisdom and honour.

When man erred the Law stood firm as it must.

The balance on the Scales of Justice had to be righted.

God is Perfect and it was His Judgement and His Penalty that was written in The Record of Humankind.

He is not a house divided. His Dominion must be put Right. And every Law, decree of His, had to be perfectly carried out in timing, and in meaning so that all Creation would understand.

And it was, when His Christ, The Annointed by God Redeemer, named Jesus Immanuel,( born of a virgin, began a Holy Ministry, rejected by His chosen people, to be crucified on The Cross at Calvary and whom God The Father, )was raised back to life, raised back to Heaven in the presence of man, to be called our Saviour and Redeemer.

He is God's Own Son by His Spirit, born of a virgin human, sitting at the Right hand of God; also called The Word of God Who spoke our world and all in it, into being according to Their Design.

God had to bring us back into Righteousness so we could fulfil our part in His Design.

The Law He gave to Moses, called for a Blood Sacrifice of a spotless lamb. An innocent, untainted lamb cherished by the owner/shepherd.

So too then must God offer up a Spotless Lamb to His Law, so that man could understand what it costs Him, to right the wrong that man had done.

Was there a spotless lamb (man) on earth?

No, not one. All had gone astray from The Law; the Commands of God to live righteously. (There cannot be for we are all sinners under The Law.)

How could God remove the debt of man to The Law?

The Law stands Perfect forever. It cannot be removed; to do so would remove everything including Himself.

No, The Law had to be appeased, or the whole earth and everything in it would have to be destroyed.

God did not want to do that.

There were some people on the earth which had shown Him they loved Him; understood Him, and wanted Him to be their God.

These were the sons and daughters of Abraham descended from Adam and Eve through Noah's son Shem.

They had grown into a nation over centuries and believed in the God of Abraham.

During those centuries God gave utterance to prophets about His Plan to redeem them.

He would send to them a Messiah to rescue them from oppressors.

And during a time of great oppression by the Romans, Jesus (God Himself) was born of a virgin as prophesied.

Yet the people as a whole, sinful, arrogant, zealous to change the heirarchy over them, did not accept Him as Messiah.

Their thoughts were to have a warrior, politically astute king, who would overthrow the Romans for them.

This shows they did not have the right relationship with God as they should have had.

Any Righteousness man has, is solely from the Death and Resurrection of The Son of God Who came to redeem; back into a Lawful place.

Any who reject Him will not receive the Holy Pardon.

That is the one requirement. Believe in what The Father requires; that we love The Son and are thankful for His Sacrifice which paid our debt to Him (The Law.)

It is what God expects of mankind; that each individual considers Deity. When we do; The Holy Spirit introduces us to The Son also known as The Word Who created us.

Today is a day to seek to know Who God Is; to search the Scriptures given to us by Jesus Himself.
