The Heart and Mind

Friend every day we should evaluate our "self."
There's so much most of us do not understand about life in general; many others think they have it "all figured out," but in reality are caught in a web of carefully crafted lies to suit their temperament. Those lies are chains of bondage from the pit of Hell placed around you by demonic spirits.
We get deceived from childhood experiences and situations beyond our control when we make many conclusions about the world we live in. But that is just our little world of family and friends who too are living exactly like ourselves, and who are making those same conclusions - all wrong.
We muddle along through life letting the televsion and social media, tell us what to think. It's a brain washing we allow. "If it sounds good and it makes me feel good, I'm in!"
But if we have been exposed to God's Truths we have different views. And as life goes on, we mature, we see the crack between what our heart knows about God and what our eyes see from other sources.
We are the odd ones, the awkward ones that the current "it" crowd abhors. We're cautious in taking on the beliefs espoused by movies, music, television, and now social media.
We're bombarded with candy for the eyes espousing the new, upgraded, level of morality for this generation, but our heart says "No, this is not Godly!"
And the heart is right. It knows The Word of God if we have learned what The Book has to say. But the mind which gets information from the eyes and ears, can be a rebel.
The mind wants to live in the "now." It wants to experience all the world has to offer, and will fight with the heart, to let it do so. The mind will lash out and cause troubles for the whole body.
But, the heart has control of the mind. When we use The Word of God to help us make decisions, it grows strong and can control the mind just by saying "No." The heart receives it's strength of character from God who resides there in every believer.
Having this interaction with God throughout our life is very reassuring. Those who will not allow Him into their hearts will hear Him say, "I did not know you." (You wouldn't let Me in.")
Yet The Word of God tells us that every day is a new day. At any moment in any day or night, we can decide, we can choose, we can believe He exists and that His Word is Truth for living. In a moment, our mind can "see" what the heart is telling it; "Let us follow Christ." "Let us get out of this mess we are in." "No-one would die for us like He did." "Let's believe, let's learn about this Saviour."
Friend, we do not know when our time on earth is up. God has designed it this way because He wants no false claims of faith made without the heart surrendered to Him.
The moment you have this clicking together of heart and mind, take it to The One Who went to The Cross with you on His Mind. He will welcome you. All the angels will rejoice and sing "Glory to God."
