Why Testing
Friend, we all are faced with times of testing, trial and great tribulation.
No one escapes these times of testing.
It is the nature of this world, to be a testing ground of man's heart.
Whether rich or poor, these times will come.
We see in the Psalms where King David faced these times, even though God called him "a man after My Own Heart."
Being human he still required times of testing in order to grow spiritually.
During these times we are convicted by the Holy Spirit to look within to examine the state of our heart, our mind.
Surely you have experienced a time of this description in your own life no matter how young you are.
King David in the Psalms wrote about his own spiritual growth; and he was a believer since a young child.
He experienced the Love of God and the Help of the Holy Spirit and wrote songs of praise to God because he knew it was Holy God who helped him rule.
Psalm 34:1-5 I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. I will constantly speak of His Glories and Grace. I will boast of all His kindness to me. Let all who are discouraged take heart. Let us praise the Lord together and exalt His Name. For I cried to Him and He answered me. Others too were radiant at what He did for them.
Friend, rise up from your sorrows and praise God who has deemed you worthy of saving, of being forgiven. You were on His mind when He hung on the Cross.
